Saturday at Nojoqui Falls

Every year, the Saturday before Mother's Day, Santa Barbara County 4-H, holds its 4-H Exhibit Day at Nojoqui Falls. Located in the hills between the small town of Buellton and beautiful Santa Barbara.

It gives the kids a chance to exhibit their animals and projects before the grand finale of the year, the Santa Barbara County Fair.

Setting up for the 'show'.. doesn't everyone look busy?

Yep, that's my boy! You will see the 'green' throughout the day.. I did this intentionally, because he likes to disappear, often. It's a lot easier to ask someone, "hey, did you see the boy in his Lucky Green Shirt?" (his alternate shirt for after the falls?.. bright orange..YA! Luckily we didn't have to use it.)

Everyone anxiously waiting to see how their bunnies do on the show table....

More watching, and waiting... with most of my 4-H kids there, we had Rex (the big ones), Holland Lops, Mini Lops, Dutch, and Jersey Wooly.

This is one of my primary members, Giovanni, with his Holland Lop. (his 1st time doing showmanship, and he did a GREAT job!)

Another one of my primary members, Alex, and her Jersey Wooly. (Alex did an EXCELLENT job with her 1st time doing showmanship!)

This is brother and sister, Nico (in the brown), and Skyler (in the white) watching their Hollands be judged. If they were MY kids, they would be pushing and shoving each other..."Mom, she is standing too close to meeeee!"

More show pics...aka people just standing around....
