Scallops and Contraptions...

What the heck could those two words possibly have in common? No, this is not a post about sea food and tinkertoys.. It's about Kate! Yep, they are Kaitlynnisms... Kinda like a cross between ebonics and redneck vocabulary (as found in Jeff Foxworthy's Redneck Dictionary). But, we also use the term to define something that only Kaitlynn would do.

I don't remember the exact details, but a few years ago, we were having a random discussion. And Kate was trying add to the conversation with, "yeah, my mom had a lot of contraptions." huh? When asked what she was talking about, she says, "you know, when you had Noah, you had a lot of contraptions."

And the other Kaitlynnism... came when I was combing her hair into two pig tails.... Yep, I was, "hoorting her scallop".... (I will add a few pics when I wake up this afternoon..check back then)

I promised a little insight into Kate's way of thinking, so here you go...
If you can't/didn't see her do it... she didn't do it...
Better to keep mom thinking, than to fully fess up to something....
If Kate is quiet, she is up to something...(this applied more when she was little, but sometimes still applies)
And last but not least... If it sounds like a good idea, it MUST be.. She *might* think it over after the fact.... case and point see this post
