Flash Back Friday....

I didn't have time to dig into the old photos today, because we are diligently working on the kids 4-H Record Books that are due in just a couple days. So these are a couple of old photos I found on my computer.

This was taken at the Pomona FairPlex in 2003, at a rabbit show.

The only time you would see these two in any kind of 'embrace' now, would probably be some kind of choke hold. I keep telling myself, that they will grow out of it, and they will once again be friends. Only time will tell. My sisters and I used to torture each other, and now we get along, swimmingly! We actually want to spend time with one another. So, I can only pray that Noah and Kate have the same outcome.

This was at our County Fair, Shianne won Reserve in Show with her Mini Lop, Chilly. Chilly had an amazing story, even before she won at many shows. The Reader's Digest version? Ok, she was born on the cage wire, (normally they are born in a nest box) on a VERY cold night in late November. I thought she was dead, and I was going to just dispose of her. But, my kids were standing right behind me, looking for their new babies. I saw the tiniest of movement, though she wasn't breathing, and decided to give it a shot. I actually performed CPR on a little hairless, frozen, rat looking baby rabbit! Chest compressions, and tiny puffs in her mouth! Three to five, VERY long minutes later, she squeaked. Then started slowly stretching... from here we moved to warming measures. She made it! The End.. (that was the very condensed version)
