Jumping to conclusions......

Yesterday, we worked really hard, getting a lot accomplished, in a very short amount of time, before I had to leave for work.... With both Noah and Kaitlynn helping, we cleaned 34 rabbit cages in just under an hour!

After that, Noah disappeared before I could nab him for another job, and Kaitlynn ran for the trampoline.

So I started on the other tasks on my list on my own...
2 loads of laundry
planting my tomato, serrano, and hot chili plants (poor plants had been sitting on my kitchen counter for over a week)

Well, I wake up this afternoon (see Sunday's post of why I am waking up at such a late hour), and go to see how my little plants are taking to their new pots. As I am walking out the back door, I don't see them where I left them, they have been moved, and place on top of the kids picnic bench. On closer inspection, I see that many of the beautiful green leaves have been chopped off!!

NO WAY! All I could think of was, I am SO going to fire the gardener!! (Monday morning is the day the gardener comes to mow the front and back lawns) Ok, so I really wouldn't fire the gardener over a few $1.69 veggies I got from OSH. But, I just lovingly planted the little guys... even stuck my hand in rabbit poop and dirt to do so....

So, as I am doing this post about how mad I was at the gardener.... Kate comes in the door from school... and I, just on a whim, ask her, if she knows why my veggies had been moved. Her answer.... I moved them yesterday so the turkeys wouldn't eat them....... pause.....pause.... The little light over my head blinks on... Yeah, right she moved them before the turkeys could eat them.... What would ever make her think that the grain eatin', bug chasin', porch poopin', stinky turkeys, would eat a plant? hmmmmm..... (here is when you have to have the insight of how Kate's mind works) I will leave you to ponder this one.... until tomorrow everyone..
