I FINALLY broke out my birthday present from last year...LOLA very nice Craftsman circular saw... The rabbits need a structure to hold up their tarp better. As it is now, it just flaps in the wind, and is held up by the handle on a rake... yeah, real sophisticated. And with the winds we have been having, that 'rake pole' ripped a hole right in the middle of the tarp.
It's going to take me at least another day to finish it (being very inexperienced carpenters, Kate and I made a few mistakes..hehehe)
Until then, we put up a new thicker, reflecting tarp...and just in time! It's HOT...well for us anyway. And the worst part is, we have our Mini Lop National show this next weekend in Monterey. And when you add heat to bunnies, you get blown coats.. aka fur coming out by the hand fulls! Not good when you are trying to win at a rabbit show, against nice glossy coats from cooler climates....
